20 years of people-focused support in Scotland
Harmony Support and Care was founded in Edinburgh in 2005 with a simple, heartfelt mission: to provide a better, kinder standard of support in the health and social care sector. Our founders, Harmony Schofield and Iain McGill, both came from direct care backgrounds. They wanted to create an agency that genuinely cared about making the right match between support workers and the people they support.
Today, we are a leading independent agency in Scotland, an SQA-accredited training centre, and a trusted partner for hundreds of individuals and organisations. While we have grown, our core principle has never changed: it’s all about the people.

Our management team comes from care and support backgrounds, not corporate recruitment. With decades of combined hands-on experience in settings from homeless hostels to drug and alcohol projects, we have a deep and personal understanding of the sector. This allows us to support our staff with genuine empathy and meet the complex needs of our clients with confidence.
