Support Worker – Homelessness

Location: Edinburgh & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £12 per hour+

Hours: Shift work (early, back, day, night)

Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team, working directly with individuals affected by homelessness. You will play a crucial role in providing emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• work as part of a team providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to those using the service
• maintain and update all recording systems and documentation in line with relevant policies, procedures and practice guidelines.

Requirements:

• It is essential to have experience in a similar role or working with vulnerable individuals (e.g., homelessness, mental health, addiction, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental manner.
• Full PVG
• Right to work within the UK
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting.
• Full UK driving license (desirable but not essential).
